Bits and pieces of my room

I know I need to dust

Jim Doran creates these mini worlds of metaphysical wonder. The Baltimore-based artist lets his imagination run wild, carving tiny detailed pen and ink illustrations to form minuscule scenes that enchant the eye” — http://inhabitat.com/jim-dorans-minuscule-dioramas-are-found-hidden-within-sardine-tins/

I’m done! 2 years later…. These still need to be cleaned up a bit, but I wanted to show them off. I probably shouldn’t be proud of myself because it took me a ridiculous amount of time to finish them, but hey, I’m proud anyway

This Must Be The Place

Produced and directed by Ben Wu and David Usui,
of Lost & Found Films (lostfoundfilms.com).

THIS MUST BE THE PLACE

There’s no place like home. It’s where we live, work and dream. It’s our sanctuary and our refuge. We can love them or hate them. It can be just for the night or for the rest of our lives. But whoever we may be, we all have a place we call home.

THIS MUST BE THE PLACE is a series of short films that explore the idea of home; what makes them, how they represent us, why we need them.

We’re always on the lookout for dwellings of all sorts. If you’ve come across any curious or eccentric homes, feel free to send them along.

Alain de Botton: Atheism 2.0

What aspects of religion should atheists (respectfully) adopt? Alain de Botton suggests a “religion for atheists” — call it Atheism 2.0 — that incorporates religious forms and traditions to satisfy our human need for connection, ritual and transcendence

These stupid god damn stained glass windows are almost done. This is one of three, the left panel, or right, doesn’t really matter.. I just have to grind these last 23 pieces, and then I have to foil them and then solder everything together and then I’m done, done done forever, until I start the next ones…but I’ll actually want to make those.

The light in my “studio” is not the best, these are the best pictures I could get of what I’ve been working on lately, and the cat who keeps me company
